Job Purpose

The Athletic Equipment Manager helps to organize, transport, and maintains the athletic and sports equipment and apparel for one or more of JESPY House's various athletic sports programs.


Essential Functions

  1. Maintains and reconciles uniform and equipment inventory
  2. Launder practice apparel as needed
  3. Oversee uniform and equipment retrieval after practices and competition days
  4. Notify Athletic Coordinator of any equipment disrepair or inventory discrepancies
  5. Assist with maintaining fitness facility and equipment cleanliness
  6. Ensure snacks for sporting events are readily accessible and of adequate quantity for competition days
  7. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized storage area

  1. Maintain appropriate relationships and boundaries with other client peers and JESPY staff members.
  2. Aware of basic safety for self and other while transporting or using equipment.
  3. Knowledge of supplies and sporting equipment
  4. Able to learn how to use equipment repair tools (i.e. air pump)
  5. Ability to count, read and write legibly to keep proper inventory and equipment logs
  6. Good organizational skills
  7. Willingness to learn new tasks
